Youth Cultural Camps

YOUTH CULTURE CAMPS (YCC)

The Youth Culture Camp (YCC) program is funded by the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries. Since its inception in 2018, the program has created culturally relevant experiences that revitalize cultural knowledge in the Indigenous youth population ages 8-29 years old.

Each year the Anishinabek Nation holds land-based learning opportunities for youth to build their cultural
identity, self-esteem and confidence.
The Program Coordinator also offers support and training to 39 member Anishinabek First Nations implementing Youth Culture Camps in their communities.
