 Ahnee, Welcome to the Anishinabek Nation website. The Leadership has been very busy fulfilling the needs of the Anishinabek Nation. Regional priorities sessions were conducted during the past year. We have structured the organization and the organizational work plans to meet the priorities identified in the regions. Political advocacy is an important aspect of the work of the Leadership. Protocols have been developed with the Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada and the Minister of Aboriginal Affairs. We meet semi-anually with each Minister. The important issues of the Ansihinabek Nation are presented and discussed at a high level during the Ministers meetings. I enjoy attending community events and pow-wows in Anishinabek territory. It is always great to meet and talk with community members. I look forward to meeting you at a future community event. I hope that you find our website informative.
