The Union of Ontario Indians Intergovernmental Affairs department is committed to the protection of aboriginal and treaty rights, ensuring access to land and resources, and supporting the political goals, values and aspirations of the Anishinabek Nation.The Intergovernmental Affairs Department is committed to providing to the Office of the Grand Council Chief, Executive and Chiefs and Departments with:
  • Strategic analysis, planning and advice
  • Support on policy development and related activities
  • Liaison and co-ordination with Political, Legal, Administration and Program departments

He campaigned on helping the Elders and providing students with the education and support they require.
Vision for the Community:
Transparency, Integrity and Honesty. And to live up to the promises he made to the people that elected him.
Community Accomplishments and Challenges:
Trying to wrap up and resolve land claims which have been long standing issues for the community. Ensuring that community initiatives come to fruitation that may not have in the past, such as baseball field, a new health centre, upgrading infrastructure and negotiating with MTO for the 4 laning of hgihway 69.
Other Information:
He has taken part in many ceremonies, fasted and is a pipe carrier and now feels it is time to give back to his community. Chief Noganosh enjoys living life to the fullest and in his spare time likes to cruise around on his motorcycle.
